Ode to Trees

Category:Uncategorized

I stand in awe of trees.
They bend with the wind
But they stand their ground.
They stand tall
Yet constantly reach for the sky
Branching in so many directions,
Searching for the sun and stars
While firmly rooted in one place.
They can stand alone,
But they seek out each other
And live longer together.
They appear silent
But they actively communicate
Not only with each other
But with many other living things
In the ground.
Their energy
Comes from connection.
Trees embody
The best of the feminine
And the masculine.
We can learn so much from them.
I dream of living
In a home held
In the warm embrace
Of the branches of a tree.

CENTER FOR GROWTH

My latest project is The Center for Growth.

We help leaders and their teams move beyond fear-based inertia to opportunity-driven action and offer individuals the same journey toward growing impact.

The Center uses ideas from my latest book, The Journey Beyond Fear, starting with the observation that fear is becoming the dominant emotion for people around the world.
